Snagshout Review - PARACORD SURVIVAL BRACELET 550 PARACORD BRACELET WITH COMPASS+FIRE STARTER+EYE KNIFE

Well, I signed up with Snagshout just a few days ago. I am impressed with the offers for products on the site and the speed in which I got my first item from them. So, kudos on their part. Now, it is my turn to return the favor by offering my opinion and experience with this really cool little survival tool.

It arrived at my house in a mailing envelope addressed from Amazon.com of course. I opened it and found the bracelet sealed nicely in a plastic wrap. It was easy to remove from the packaging. Looking good so far.

I examined it making sure all the parts functioned properly in case I (or my husband) were stuck out in the wilderness with no help or way to get home. The compass at first was hard to tell if it worked right, but that was bad judgment on my part. I had forgotten about the bubbles and how to read it, so it checked out. It is nothing fancy, yet does its job. The fire starter worked exceptionally well. I was ecstatic since that is what pushed me into trying this out. It was no mere flicker. The spark starts low. Then, if striked effiecently, the spark can get up to an inch in diameter. The knife felt ridged and cut through what it could handle. Wouldn't suggest trying to cut anything requiring a heavier blade than a pocket knife. Finally, the 50ft cord holds it all together nicely and hooks into a large bracelet. Most men with large wrists could sport this, but someone small and dainty like me would have to put it in a bag to carry-on with. I unfortunately did not unwind the bracelet based on the warnings given by the seller and website that it requires knowledge of braiding to retwine it back to its original state. Would definitely suggest this to any outdoor day-hiker, weekend hunter, or the occasional camper. It eliminates buying for someone not trying to spend a week in the woods. With that said, I don't suggest making it a main staple for your gear (replacing items) if your trip is more for the expert woodsman/woman.

The price offered at $10 seems fair because of the versatility and quality of the attachments.

This product was provided to me at a discount price in exchange for my honest review.
